Line Balancing

Our IEs use Time Studies to perform line balancing to develop the following:

• Yamazumi Work Balance Charts - The Japanese word "Yamazumi" literally means "to stack up". A Yamazumi Chart is a Stacked Bar Chart that Shows the Balance of Cycle Time Workloads. It can be used to identify and adjust for changes in your work cycle.
• Man Machine Charts - Man machine charts are designed to help identify the interaction between operators and the machines they operate.  By understanding this relationship with respect to production cycle times, we can minimize the downtime of machines by adjusting for the activities of the operators, thereby maximizing production outputs.
